A wet summers day - I had been working nearby this classic traditional pub, 'The Flat Iron', with the backdrop of Liverpool Football Club's Kop stand at the end of the left hand fork, and Anfield Primary school on the right hand side.

April 15th 2010 - You'll Never Walk Alone...

Liverpool remembers today - the 21st Anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. Fans mingled with people closest to those who lost their lives in the tragedy, united in their grief outside Anfield this afternoon. The floral tributes and messages on football shirts say it all...

February 6th 2010 - Derby Day

Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs meet at Anfield this afternoon for the Derby. I mingled with supporters of the 'reds' and the 'blues' outside the ground before the game and took this shot next to the famous 'You'll Never Walk Alone' gates to Anfield. Good to see that, despite all the rivalry, this city remains one of the few in the country where opposing fans can be allowed to mix freely before kick off. Plenty of friendly banter and lots of laughter and handshakes.
