In Hale Village this afternoon, taking photographs in connection with the historical figure, the Childe of Hale. Noticed Will, a local resident, spring cleaning the war memorial on the Village Green. Will told me he had lived in the 'chocolate box' village all his life.When asked about the proximity to the airport he told me the noise from the planes doesn't bother him - that to him they're just like buses coming and going.
