May 16th 2010 - Sefton Cricket ClubToday was a perfect day for playing and watching a game of cricket. I ventured down to Sefton Park (one of my favourite grounds to play and watch), and took this photograph of the Sefton versus Formby game. The club moved to Sefton Park in 1876 and in 1877, W G Grace was amongst three Gloucestershire players who made up a South Of England team and played at the ground. What W G Grace would have made of England winning the Twenty Twenty World Cup today is anyone's guess; but any win against Australia in cricket is good win, even if it is a diluted form of the game.
