July 5th 2010 - River Reflection
A beautiful sunset at the Pier Head this evening. I caught this reflection of the River Mersey and the floating landing stage in the window of the new, soon to be opened, Museum of Liverpool Life. March 7th 2010 - Kites over the Mersey
A beautiful, sunny afternoon spent photographing the kites flying alongside the river down at Otterspool Promenade. The kite pictured is known as a Barley Twist and was mesmerising to watch, as it turned and went spinning through the sky.

February 24th 2010 -Rising Tide
Looking across from the Albert Dock to Wirral on a cold afternoon. Cammel Lairds ship building yard can be seen. The tide was just coming in and the sun was casting its rays through the broken clouds.
My photograph of the Liverpool Skyline appears on the homepage of the Ex-Pat Blog (www.expat-blog.com)

January 25th 2010 - Aeroplane over the Mersey
A peaceful walk in the grounds of Speke Hall, interrupted by this roaring jet overhead. I liked the idea of ancient and modern alongside each other in this image - the old tree, firmly rooted in the foreground and the plane coming in to land at John Lennon Airport overhead.

January 22nd 2010 - Fog on the Mersey
I took this photograph of the River Mersey this afternoon as the fog descended. It was so atmospheric, with the distant fog horns sounding and the lonely buoys bobbing on the surface of the water. I liked the contrast of the different shades of white on white, overlapping in this image and the seagull overhead - perhaps the spirit of a lost sailor, as legend would have us believe...
